The international road construction enterprises working in foreign countries have to face many a problem, such as political, economical, financial, administrative, technical, human and climatical. Their contracts include risks which can jeopardize the existence of the enterprise. The objective of this communication is to put forward a few ideas and questions, the adoption and solution of which should ease the task of all who participate in the preparation, financing and application of the road works site. This concerns, particularly preselection, tendering documents, financing of projects, conditions of contracts, control, tests, arbitration, guarantees and insurance. It is concluded that the enterprise considers that tne collaboration at all levels should improve the quality of the projects and reduce their costs. (TRRL)
