POWER SPECTRA ANALYSIS OF ACOUSTIC EMISSION WAVE OF CONCRETE

The main purpose of the paper is to obtain some fundamental data on the frequency characteristics of ae wave of concrete. Mortar specimens, two- phase model specimens consisting of mortar matrix and mortar aggregate and concrete specimens were tested under uniaxial compression, shear- compression and splitting tension. The location search of local fracture was also carried out by using the time lags of the onset of ae wave monitered by five sensors. Acoustic power spectra of ae waves were determined by the fast Fourier transformation method, and the effects of the fracture type and the stress level on power spectra, frequency components and so on were examined.
