MODERNE KAROSSERIEINSTANDSETZUNG
In the first part of this document decision criteria are proposed for the replacement of welded car body sheet metal parts: these involve mainly repetitive damage or repair in the front and boot regions, problems of rear deformation, adequate strength in the repair weld connections. Furthermore, decision criteria are presented taken from inspection and repair practice: these are mainly repair possibilities in the case of further damage in the same area related to the manufacturer's specifications, restoration of the original appearance in the region of welds, availability of parts, ergonomic influences on repair decisions, corrosion protection in repair work, limitation of paint surfaces as well as the influence of repair life. In the second part modern body repair practice is presented. (TRRL)
