This report is based on interviews with 1450 persons working in the local public transport sector as drivers of buses, underground railways and trams and as gate guards in 6 Swedish cities. The aim was to study the psychological aspects of the work such as stress, health and the effect of working hours on family life and spare time activities. Causes for staying home from work and the situation of immigrant workers have also been studied. (TRRL)
