THE NEW SYSTEM FOR THE TREATMENT OF TURBID WATER WHICH OCCURS WHEN IRON ORE SLURRY IS LOADED ON AN ORE CARRIER
A large volume of turbid water which occurs when slurry cargoes are loaded on a slurry carrier must be treated from the standpoint of avoiding ocean pollution. The authors succeeded in the development of a new treatment system and facility for the turbid water occurred when iron ore concentrate was loaded onto an iron ore carrier in slurry form. This paper describes the new treatment system and facility, and the preferable treating conditions obtained in the laboratory, pilot and on-board tests.
