Hybrid electric vehicles energy consumption decrease according to drive train architecture, energy management and vehicle use
This paper presents the challenges facing road transportation regarding green house gas emission control for the future and details the different technological options of hybridization. The technical solutions with their characteristics and potential are presented for the different cases that have been implemented and/or marketed. Finally some future solutions allowing pure EV mode and plug-in charging are presented and discussed
