SYSTEM DESIGN FOR HYDRAULIC TRANSPORT OF FILLING MATERIALS THROUGH PIPELINES INTO MINES
Hydraulic transport of filling materials into mines is one of the oldest applications of pipeline transport. The system, however, differs considerably from normal surface transport systems and its design requires special considerations like highest possible concentration, maximum utilization of static energy, controlling the velocity in the interest of reducing pipe wear. The paper deals with the characteristic features of such a system and develops a method for its design.
