CORROSION RESISTANCE OF SOME WELDED ALUMINUM ALLOYS IN SEA WATER
Specimens of welded aluminum were exposed to seawater on the west coast of Sweden. Variants with different types of heat treatment and aging were tested. After 4.5 yr exposure the test was terminated, by which time the specimens were covered with heavy fouling. Effect of corrosion on mechanical properties of welds is described.
