The role of co-housing communities in shaping sustainable everyday life mobilities cultures in Munich and Copenhagen

The aim of the research is to contribute to the research agenda on everyday life mobilities and to engage in a discussion about the potentials for change and transition in everyday life (Egmose, 2015; Freudendal-Pedersen, 2009; Nielsen, 2005). Furthermore, the research aims to contribute to both a theoretical discussion on co-housing and co-living concepts in a societal and historical perspective as well as a practice-based discussion of co-housing and sustainable everyday life mobilities in the cities of Munich and Copenhagen. Finally, the research targets the existing literature on mobilities cultures (e.g. Klinger, Kenworthy, & Lanzendorf, 2013; Klinger & Lanzendorf, 2016; Kuhnimhof & Wulfhorst, 2013) and aims to contribute to this literature through the use of qualitative approaches and a focus on the complexities of everyday life in the perspective of sustainable mobilities cultures.
