Review of Quick-Build Tactical Transit from the TCRP Fast Tracked Study
Transit agencies and local governments looking to improve transit service and the experience of using transit are using the quick-build method to implement projects rapidly. The ways the transit industry is using quick-build or “Tactical Transit” projects is detailed in a new report from the Transit Cooperative Research Program, Fast Tracked: A Tactical Transit Study. This article describes how Tactical Transit projects can provide tangible benefits to transit operations and customer experience quickly in the short term, while longer-term planning takes place.
