INTERNATIONAL TIRE NOISE CONFERENCE. AUGUST 28-31 1979 STOCKHOLM. PROCEEDINGS

The aim of this conference and workshop is to advance the tire noise problem in the following respects: make efforts toward practical and rapid reduction of tire noise emission. This includes practical methods for noise reduction as well as discussion whether legislation efforts will advance tire noise reduction. Second, make efforts toward the standardization methods. This is necessary to make meaningful international comparisons of tire noise tests. Third, discuss the problem of balancing the factors of safety, noise and transportation economy. (TRRL)
