Question: What Do We Know About Aircraft Delays?

This brief document looks at flight delays. It presents trends in delayed flights, 2003-2016, and typical causes for delays and cancellations. It is noted that the percentage of on-time arrivals for domestic flights has remained at around 80% since 2003 but that due to a lack of data it is not possible to determine what is responsible for the most delays.
