AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE FIVE TO TEN YEARS HENCE
The American automobile is going to be redesigned, in many cases fully and radically, over the next five to 10 years. The reason for this is both simple and profound. In order to meet customer requirements of space and comfort while at the same time improving fuel economy, it is necessary to maintain the maximum interior passenger room with the minimum exterior size and weight. It will be the era of front wheel drive, new engines and fuels, and advanced electronics.
