PROGRESSIVE METHODS OF PROCESSING METALS, ALLOYS AND OTHER MATERIALS. ELECTROCHEMICAL TREATMENT OF GAS TURBINE BLADES
The article discusses the electrochemical treatment of gas turbine blades which use hard-to-work, heat-resistant steels and alloys. Electrochemical processes are shown to increase the efficiency of machining turbine blades by 6 to 12 times over mechanical methods. Exact details of the electrochemical process and of the equipment used are given. (Author)
