DESIGN TODAY FOR TOMORROW
With energy commodity handling and transportation becoming such vital elements in national and international operations, ports must be able to keep pace with developments having worldwide repercussions. It is essential that the flexibility to adapt and respond be given prime considerations from the very beginning of a ports service. This paper is directed toward assisting those individuals involved in port planning to review the basic planning strategy and began to consider areas of port flexibility which can be tailored to their specific needs.
