A review on research in transportation of hazardous materials
Incidents that involve transportation have the potential of causing significant damages to the affected communities due to the release of hazardous substances. Therefore, it is important to reduce their impact as well as the risk of their occurrence. In this paper the authors review recent research in the field of transportation of hazardous materials. The authors' work extends a previous review from 2007. Based on their analysis, the authors identify current trends and research gaps as well as relevant future research directions.
