"MITSUBISHI LANCER EX", A NEW SMALL PASSENGER CAR

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation put on sale in April 1979 a new small passenger car "Mitsubishi Lancer EX". Design objectives of this car are orthodox 3-box style with sharp and flat surfaces, big compartment and boot space with adequate body size, comfortable and modern interior, internationally acceptable ride, performance and economy with MCA-JET engine and light weight body. In this paper, the design philosophy and technical features of this car are introduced.
