Infrastructure risk rating manual for Australian roads

Infrastructure Risk Rating (IRR) is a road safety risk assessment methodology that is calculated by coding the following road and roadside features: 1. Land use; 2. Road stereotype; 3. Lane and shoulder width; 4. Horizontal alignment; 5. Roadside hazards; 6. Intersection density; 7. Access density; 8. Traffic volume – rural roads only; 9. Speed limit – rural roads only. This manual sets out the steps for undertaking an IRR assessment. It is divided into four parts: 1. Identify supporting data sources; 2. Identify homogenous road sections; 3.
