NEW CONCEPT FOR BITUMINOUS PLANTS
NUEVA CONCEPCION DE PLANTAS ASFALTICAS
The present concept of hot-coated material plant differs from the conventional one in so far as dust emission is eliminated while output is equivalent or greater, that aggregates are mixed with the binder while wet with or without admixture, the whole mixture being gradually heated. The operation of this type of plant is analyzed, attention being drawn to the savings in binder, the penetration of which is greater, to the workability and homogeneity of the mixtures to the compaction of bitumen which gives more satisfactory values than those obtained in conventional plants, and to the reduction in investments and manufacture and maintenance costs.
