SEA TRIALS OF THE 213,000 TON TANKER "MAGDALA"
LES ESSAIS A LA MER DU PETROLIER DE 213000 TONNES MAGDALA
Trials of the Magdala were carried out to determine exactly the influence of shallow waters on the maneuverability of large tankers. The measures taken to obtain maximum results in a limited time frame while ensuring navigational safety are outlined. The influence of depth on speed over the ground is indicated and seems only moderate.
