COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEMS
The report covers the shipboard evaluation of several Collision Avoidance Systems. It briefly explains the purpose of the systems, their main features and their relative value. In addition, a list of basic system requirements is provided. While no one system provides all desired features they have been found to provide substantial assistance in the Collision Avoidance function and are recommended for increased utilization by the Marine industry.
