CARGO SECURITY REPORTING SYSTEM - TRUCK

This program was initiated to support National Cargo Security Program by acquiring and analyzing cargo security data for motor common carriers of freight. Schedule A contains theft-ralated loss data (shortages, theft, hijacking and pilferage) for motor carriers of general freight. Schedule C contains insurance related data such as claims paid and cargo premiums as well as operating revenue. Net operating income is extracted from the Trinc Redbook. Also various ratios of interest for the given loss data are given. Cargo loss data are obtained from Interstate Commerce Commission data tapes (form ql and D). Additional revenue information is obtained from Trinc Redbook, published by Trinc Transportation Consultants Inc.
