PARKEERGARAGES IN WOONGEBIEDEN. EEN INVENTARISATIE VAN 51 PARKEERGARAGES IN DE WONINGBOUW EN AANBEVELINGEN VOOR DE PARKTIJK
Parking provisions influence the quality of the residential environment positively as well as negatively. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the existing parking provisions in the Netherlands to make recommendations for further development. In total 51 parking garages were studied regarding their situation, architectural design, ventilation, use, management and surveillance. The parking of cars on pay in roofed parking provisions is only likely to succeed if it becomes more attractive than parking on the public road. (TRRL)
