Study of Combustion Products Emitted from SI Engine Using Saturated Hydrocarbons as Fuel
In this study, exhaust gas components emitted from spark ignition engine were analyzed using a comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatograph (GC×GC) with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOFMS). n-Heptane, isooctane and cyclohexane were used as fuels. As a result of the analysis, it was found that reaction products in the exhaust gas were influenced by the molecular structure of the fuel.
