These applications and devices are designed to save lives, improve personal mobility, enhance economic productivity, reduce environmental impacts, and transform public agency operations. This article describes Wyoming Department of Transportation's CV pilot, in which the state plans to plans to equip 400 vehicles with onboard units and deploy around 75 roadside units (RSU) along the state’s 402 miles (647 kilometers) of I–80.
