Recruiting Tomorrow's Workforce
This article presents the United States Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI). NSTI is a program with a quarter century of success in encouraging middle and high school students to consider transportation-related studies at the college and university level. By partnering with state DOTs and colleges and universities on NSTI programs, FHWA enhances awareness among youths of what they can achieve through education.
