THE USER AND THE SUBURBAN STATION ENVIRONMENT
L'USAGER ET L'ESPACE DE LA GARE DE BANLIEUE
Starting from the assumption that the way of life is part of the urban space through collective practices, the authors define the station as a transitional environment where the break takes place between the transport environment and the outside environment. The second part of the book describes the suburban station as part of the urban equipment. The authors investigate whether a transport policy can take into account the way of life of the suburban population in the design of stations which must deal with increasing traffic that is forever changing.
