Qualitative Characterization of Recycled Bituminous Mixes with Foamed Bitumen

The goal of the authors research is to encourage the use of recycled pavements with foamed bitumen by the determination of its characteristics in comparison to conventional asphalt mixes with virgin materials using the state-of-the-art testing methods, that is by stiffness modulus testing according to EN 12697-26. Final result would be a new suggested structural layer coefficient for foamed bitumen stabilized material. In the case study a reconstruction of the city highway section is presented, where they examined two different recycling solutions. The first solution consisting of recycling the existing asphalt pavement together with subbase layer and the second solution with recycling the existing cracked cement stabilized layer together with subbase layer. There were also a lot of conditions to comply with because of the road section location in the city
