Barriers to cycling mobility in a low-income community in Cape Town: A Best-Worst Scaling approach
It is necessary to recognize the barriers to bicycling mobility when developing policy recommendations. Improved cycling mobility would be beneficial in low-income urban communities due to its low cost and potential to improve access to socio-economic opportunities. There is a great deal of policy support in South Africa for non-motorized transportation, but the implementation has been flawed due to a lack of funding and training to support development.
