CURRENT TRENDS IN THE CONSOLIDATION OF UNDERGROUND VOIDS UNDER PAVEMENTS IN THE PARIS REGION

TENDANCES ACTUELLES DANS LA CONSOLIDATION DES VIDES SOUTERRAINS SOUS LES CHAUSSEES DE LA REGION PARISIENNE

Following an introduction giving some details regarding the numerous subterranean voids in the Paris region, the authors examine the methods of preliminary investigation of underground voids and the processes of consolidation of these voids under pavements of different types. They draw attention to the rather high cost of these operations, and to the economies that can be effected by choice of the optimum process and materials. (TRRL)
