DESIGN PARAMETERS OF MULTI-PURPOSE RO-RO SHIPS
Following intensive market studies and computer calculations, Astilleros Espanoles SA, Madrid, has developed several Ro-Ro prototypes which are presented in this two-part article. The first part deals with the lines plan and hull form, hull structure, and double shell. The second part deals with deck arrangement, ramps and lifts, rolling paths and container layout lashing elements, engine room arrangement, stability loading conditions, and Ro-Lo Ships.
