CONSIDERATIONS TO THE THEORY FOR THE MOVEMENT OF THE RAILWAY WHEEL SET IN THE STRAIGHT TRACK: INFLUENCE OF ASSEMBLY FAILURES AND OF THE ROTATION
Assembly failures or undue tolerances in the geometry of the guidance of the wheel set often causes impairments of the running and wear behaviour of running gear. With use of the fundamental equation for the movement of the wheel set in the straight track simple relations are derived, which permit to value deviations from correct position. The significance of the rotating resistance between truck and carbody is explained and its effect on the movement of running gear without mass is dealt with also.
