Metro Area Transit Ridership Satisfaction Study
The Metropolitan Area Transit System (MAT) is the public bus system for the cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo. The city of Fargo wants to better understand rider's satisfaction with the Metropolitan Area Transit system's current bus service. The Fargo/West Fargo portion of Metropolitan Area Transit (MAT) has 12 bus routes serving these cities plus two specific routes to serve the North Dakota State University campus community. These routes are webbed throughout Fargo and West Fargo to best serve their customer base. To gather data on rider satisfaction with the MAT system, an on-board survey was conducted by the Small Urban & Rural Transit Center (SURTC). The results indicate the MAT system is providing a good service to bus riders in the city of Fargo. The overall survey answers are favorable. Survey results are discussed in this report.
