NEW CTC SYSTEM FOR SOUTHERN
Centralized traffic control for the 328-mile Southern Railway line between Cincinnati and Chattanooga has been upgraded with a microprocessor technology in the form of a GRS Micro Traffic Master which uses high speed logic to process and transmit control functions from a small modularized control center. Existing field equipment and pen-type train recorders were retained as control center was replaced.
