LABORATORY MEASUREMENT OF PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF ASPHALT-RUBBER
A type of material that uses reclaimed rubber and asphalt is discussed. This material is a composite of asphalt and relatively large quantities of ground (or crumb) rubber obtained from reclaiming waste automobile tires. Rubber in the amount of up to 25 percent by weight of mixture (33 percent by weight of asphalt) is used. The description asphalt-rubber is used to differentiate between this material and rubberized asphalts.
