The Americas
More than half of the world's people now live in urban areas, and the movement of goods and people in and between these densely populated cities requires a holistic approach to transportation planning and construction. Recent global economic setbacks have affected road development along with other industries. Innovation in transportation is needed, yet despite a growing variety of modes, the road remains the link that connects multi-modal transportation. The countries of the Americas, a region as diverse as its people and landscapes, share in shaping the future of the road industry.
