ONE-DIMENSIONAL CONSOLIDATION OF SOILS TAKING CREEP INTO ACCOUNT
The author studies one-dimensional consolidation taking into account the time related deformations of the mineral skeleton of the soil. In order to determine the influence of creep on consolidation, tests were conducted on samples consisting of a mixture of clay and silt. Based on the results of these tests, a theoretical interpretation of consolidation is given for two cases: consolidation under constant load and at a constant loading rate. (TRRL)
