BEARING CAPACITY OF TUBULAR PILES (WITHOUT TIP) DRIVEN BY VIBRATION IN COMPRESSIBLE SOIL
NESUSHCHAYA SPOSOBNOST' SVAJ-OBOLOCHEK, POGRUZHENNYKH V SLABYE GRUNTY
Results are presented of loading tests (vertical and horizontal loads) carried out on two real reinforced concrete piles, 1,6 M in diameter driven 15,5 and 23,5 M in saturated alluvial soil. It is shown that it is possible during the last stages of driving, to adopt a driving speed higher than that recommended in snip III-9-74 regulations. (TRRL)
