EPOXY RESIN REPAIR OF SEVERELY DAMAGED REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAM-COLUMN JOINTS
REPARACION CON RESINAS EPOXICAS DE UNIONES VIGA-COLUMNA DE HORMIGON ARMADO SEVERAMENTE DANADAS
Tests performed on three reinforced concrete natural size specimens of beam-column joints first submitted to damages equivalent to those of a strong earthquake and then repaired with epoxy resin are presented. The experimental results showed that after repair the joints recover full strength and ductility and that their behaviour depended on lateral concrete cover thickness of the joint, the strength of the repair mortar or concrete, the size of the joint and the repair workmanship.
