FINANCING AND PAYING FOR A HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
FINANCIACION Y PAGO DE LA OBRA VIAL
Argentina is resolutely fighting to become a highly developed country, but one of the greatest problems is the lack of physical communication between towns. This lack of communication restricts the vision of developers, who only plan their production or economy on a regional scale, which is very costly because of low productivity, is internationally uncompetitive, and keeps the country's inhabitants poor. This makes the building of roads imperative. The highway construction program is sometimes held up because of budget problems and sometimes because of a failure to understand the problem. Argentina, facing the same problems as its neighbors, must overcome its fiscal problems that are slowing down the highway infrastructure. The author categorizes the existing highway programs as insufficient and extremely dangerous for the future of the country. (Author)
