RIGID PIPE PROOF TESTING UNDER EXCESS OVER FILLS WITH VARYING BACKFILL PARAMETERS: SECTION V (VOLUME 4)--ASSUMED DISTRIBUTIONS OF TANGENTIAL TRACTIONS REQUIRED FOR STATIC EQUILIBRIUM
Tangential tractions acting on the outer periphery of the Cross Canyon, reinforced concrete culvert, either synthesized (where no shear measuring devices were installed), or modified after synthesis (where such devices were installed), are presented in profile form for eight instrumented zones. Magnitudes of these synthesized tangential tractions were chosen in a manner which would result in static equilibrium coniderations being satisfied in a vertical direction, as well as rotationally.
