Workforce 2030--Attracting, Retaining, and Developing the Transportation Workforce: Design, Construction, and Maintenance

NCHRP Research Report 1008 provides a guide to facilitate the development and maintenance of a high quality workforce in transportation design, construction, and maintenance. The guide provides a roadmap and decision tree to help agencies analyze their unique agency workforce needs and navigate through the practical strategies within the guide. In addition to the guide, several additional deliverables are available on the TRB website, found under NCHRP Research Report 1008. They include a stand-alone executive summary, a report documenting the research process, a presentation of the guide for managers and practitioners, and a technical memorandum on implementation of the research.
