Anticipative Crisis Management at the Airport
Anticipative or preventive action has the purpose of preventing a crisis or mitigating its effects. This is also the best way to manage the crisis. One of the key assumptions is the development of management competency for crisis management. Besides, it is necessary to develop the measurement instruments of crisis indicators. The crisis may have different forms: financial, environmental, human resources, security, etc. Regardless of the manifestation, it is always a business crisis, i.e. crisis of management systems. To create instruments for anticipative crisis management it is necessary to establish indicators for early detection of crisis, to quantify them, to measure and develop a system of automatism in taking appropriate measures that act preventively to the crisis, and that mitigate its consequences. The author approaches the airport as a management system. The application of general and specific scientific methods of cognition develops and proposes indicators for early detection of crisis as well as a system of taking appropriate measures of prevention. The developed model of anticipative crisis management contributes to the management system quality of the airport.
