ANALYSIS OF PERSONAL INJURY AND ILLNESS HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH WORKING IN, ON, OR ABOUT COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES. VOLUME I: LITERATURE REVIEW REPORT
The primary objectives of the study were to identify significant contributing factors to personal injury and illnesses for various categories of motor carrier employees, and to prioritize these factors in terms of the frequency and severity of accidents associated with them. A multi-phase study was conducted which analyzed the hazards of working in, on, or about commercial motor vehicles. The focus was on occupationally-related problems other than motor vehicle accidents. The Final Report is in two volumes, with three separately bound appendices. Volume I, a literature search, reviewed previous works on occupational hazards related to commercial motor vehicle operations through personal contacts, computerized literature searching, and manual library searching. An annotated bibliography of 108 references was compiled.
