NONCONTACTING SUSPENSION AND PROPULSION FOR GROUND TRANSPORTATION

A research program has been conducted: (1) to assess critically the technological base available for evaluation of noncontacting vehicle suspension and propulsion systems in urban and intercity transport systems and (2) to develop analytical and experimental performance data for two specific systems - attractive, ferromagnetic suspension systems and air cushion suspension systems.
