Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation (AMS) Testbed Development and Evaluation to Support Dynamic Mobility Applications (DMA) and Active Transportation and Demand Management (ATDM) Programs: AMS Testbed Selection Report
The primary objective of this project is to develop multiple simulation Testbeds/transportation models to evaluate the impacts of DMA connected vehicle applications and the active and dynamic transportation management (ATDM) strategies. The outputs (modeling results) from this project will help USDOT prioritize their investment decisions for DMA and ATDM programs. The primary purpose of this report is to document the AMS Testbed selection process. Four AMS Testbeds were selected to form a diversified portfolio to conduct a detailed evaluation of DMA and ATDM concepts. Additionally, based on stakeholder feedback, two high-priority Testbeds were also added to the portfolio. The six testbeds are – (1) San Mateo (CA), (2) Phoenix (AZ), (3) Dallas (TX), (4) Pasadena (CA), (5) Chicago (IL), and (6) San Diego (CA).
