Iowa DOT Office of Traffic Operations Connected Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) Research Support
This work is focused to support Iowa DOTs vision of delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient transportation system by developing an autonomous vehicle (AV)-ready driving environment. The work focuses on priority areas for the DOT as part of an overall Connected Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) focus. Individual tasks will vary in both scope and time as required to complete the project. Research plan tasks include: Task 1 - Administration, Outreach, Collaboration; Task 2 - Iowa Signal Phasing and Timing (SPaT) and MAP Demonstration Project; Task 3 - Data Standards for Connected Autonomous Vehicles; and Task 4 - Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures Pilot Implementation.
