ARCTIC MARINE COMMERCE STUDY. VOLUME I: REPORT
The Arctic Institute of North America, under the sponsorship of the Department of Commerce, Maritime Administration, and with the help of industrial and Alaskan communities, performed a comprehensive study to determine the future requirements for Arctic Marine Commerce. These requirements establish a basis for prediction of and planning for all aspects of marine commerce in the Alaskan Arctic to the year 2000. In developing these requirements, the study was quantitative and analytical, with emphasis on important and practical economic and social values.
