HI-CUBE COMPUTER CONTROL SYSTEM FOR FLAME CUTTING MACHINES
The cutting of ship hull material requires accurate control of the flame cutting equipment. To date, this has been achieved with numerical control devices. But as labor costs rise and experienced labor becomes more difficult to find, a different method has been developed. This system employs a superior computer and a series of subordinate mini-computers in a hierarchy system that permits more fully automated control of the plate cutting operation.
