A Study on Pedestrian's Route-Choice Model at Nighttime Considered Lighting Environment
In this paper, the authors built pedestrian's route-choice model at nighttime considered lighting environment. Specifically, a brainstorming, field survey and questionnaire survey clarified pedestrian's route-choice factors. Moreover, the authors constructed a discrete route-choice model based on empirical stated preference data that uses paired comparison test. Followings are the main findings of this study. First, the light environment influences pedestrian's route-choice at nighttime. Second, the women have a tendency to concern about luminance and pedestrian volume in comparison with the men. Finally, luminance has the greatest influence on pedestrian's route-choice at nighttime, followed by street with a good view.
